Career Launch Academy
Career Launch is a company that provides numerous services to help high school/college students jumpstart their job careers.
Problem
Career Launch needs to establish a design strategy to strengthen their brand because they need to become more recognizable to their target audience.
Goal
Implementing graphic design to Career Launches promotional materials will help increase brand awareness which will affect users who don’t know about Career Launch by letting them learn what Career Launch is. We will measure effectiveness by tracking social media engagement.
User Research
The primary user group identified through this research was students who were looking to jumpstart their career. This user group confirmed initial assumptions about students, but research revealed that lack of career field knowledge was not the only factor limiting users from obtaining job opportunities. Other user problems included no professional connections, lack of mentorship, and limited amount of funds during the internship/job search.
Impact
After my 6 month internship with Career Launch the company gained over 140 Instagram followers, 300 LinkedIn connections, and 20 five star reviews. One review stated: “I was a determined college student seeking a career and I was willing to do whatever it takes to land an internship. If you're willing to hustle and you have a passion to grow and find a professional career opportunity then this is a great resource!”
